Java Used for LAD System

Seattle, Washington - INTRASS, a high-technology start-up  company specializing in advanced intelligent transportation safety systems, has begun development in Java of a Look Ahead Detection (LAD) system.  The LAD system is a 2G (second generation) longitudinal collision avoidance system which forms a linear network of vehicles in a lane and passes deceleration information rearward along this network.  The information is processed in each vehicle and warnings are made if and when appropriate.  LAD systems are designed to compliment headway detection systems by looking further ahead in traffic.
